The level of quality and craft, the attention to detail to each design, from the fabrication of the custom laminated temples to the casting of the hinges, are uncompromised attributes of Jacques Marie Mage unique line, handcrafted in Japan in very small batches.
With a common attraction to impeccable, alluring and collectible creation, Atelier Mira has naturally welcomed the brand since its opening in 2016, participating to the growing brand awareness and witnessing the thriving collecting scene around the brand uniqueness.
For its second custom collaboration with Jacques Marie Mage (the first one was released in 2019 with only 10 pieces of a magnificent customization of the classic Zephirin model), Atelier Mira is now proud to bring back the distinguished model Devaux, reimagined in the twilight hues of the classic navy colorway, Royal, embellished with exposed silver hardware.
Made with premium cellulose acetate derived from wood pulp and cotton linters, it took 18 months to bring this collaboration to fruition, and every detail is tweaked to perfection: from the sterling silver arrowhead hardware to the iconic temples wirecores cast in sterling silver, featuring fine engravings inspired by traditional designs of the American West.
Staying true to the uniqueness of the brand, only 50 pieces have been made for our store: 25 sunglasses and 25 optical eyewear.
To add on to Atelier Mira’s personal attraction to the field of visual experimentation, we asked a german artist with strong roots in DIY culture, Ramon Keining, to create a unique visual for the special cleaning cloth delivered with the JMM custom packaging.
We invite you to view this one-of-a- kind piece of eyewear that will be released in our store on December 8th.
You also have the opportunity to order the JMM X AM Devaux sunglasses on our online shop today.
Don’t wait to get yourself this distinctive medium size collectible, suitable for both men and women.
